Master Chorus Eastside Announces Praise Him! Concert

Come feed your soul with Master Chorus Eastside’s joyful exploration of spirituals, gospel, and theatre music. Praise Him! features an array of music, including Duke Ellington’s Come Sunday, the bluesy City Called Heaven, and an extended medley from Porgy and Bess.

Praise Him! also features Kevin Douglass as a special guest soloist. Kevin is a gospel and theatrical singer who has acted and sung professionally around the Seattle area, including with the Seattle Opera, 5th Avenue Theater, Intiman Theater, and Seattle’s Group Theater.

“The music is often up-tempo and energetic,” says conductor Linda Gingrich, “but it also touches on music that has risen out of the hardships of the African American experience. Overall, it is a very joyful experience and we can’t wait to share that joy with our audience.
